Question 1

How old are you?

Our housing is for adults. We need to confirm you meet the minimum age requirement.

Question 2

What's your current situation?

We support people at key transition points — choose what best describes you right now.

Question 3

Where are you based?

Our properties are in Yorkshire. We can only help people who are able to live in the Yorkshire area.

Question 4

Do you have savings or assets over £16,000?

UK housing benefits are not available to people with savings or assets above £16,000.

Question 5

Are you currently a full-time student?

Most full-time students are not eligible for our housing scheme. Part-time students may still qualify.

Question 6

Are you currently receiving any UK benefits?

Turning Point Alliance is a fully funded scheme supported by government. Please tell us your current benefits status — be as accurate as you can.

Question 6b

Which benefits do you receive?

Tick all that apply — you may receive more than one.

Select the rate you receive for each component.

Does your UC include a child element or LCWRA?

LCWRA stands for Limited Capability for Work and Work-Related Activity.

Question 6d

Does your UC include a housing costs element?

Question 7

What is your current work status?

MONTHLY EARNINGS (GROSS)
£ /month
Question 9

Do you have children or a family?

We offer both shared rooms and self-contained houses. Mothers and families with children may be suited to a self-contained property rather than a shared room.

Almost there — Sanctions Check

Are you currently under a benefit sanction?

A sanction means DWP has temporarily reduced or stopped your benefit payments. If you are currently sanctioned you will not be eligible for our scheme.

ℹ️ What is a sanction?
A UC sanction is a temporary reduction in your payments applied by DWP — usually for missing appointments, not completing job search requirements, or leaving work voluntarily. Sanctions can last days, weeks, or months depending on the reason.
Final Checks — Rent Arrears

Do you have any rent arrears or housing debt?

If you have outstanding rent arrears or housing debt, you may not qualify automatically. We assess each case individually and will be in touch to discuss.

Final Check — Pension Credit

Are you receiving Pension Credit?

Our housing is designed for working-age benefit claimants. Pension Credit recipients have different housing support routes more suitable to their needs.

ℹ️ Why does this matter?
Pension Credit is a benefit for people over State Pension age. It works differently to UC and Housing Benefit, and our supported housing model is specifically designed for working-age claimants. If you receive Pension Credit, there are specialist housing options better suited to you.
Almost done — Immigration Status

Does your visa have a "No Recourse to Public Funds" condition?

Some visa types include a condition called No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF). If this applies to you, you will not be eligible for our scheme.

🌍 What is NRPF?
NRPF is a condition attached to many visas (student, skilled worker, family) preventing access to most public benefits. You can check your visa conditions on your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) or visa approval letter. If unsure, contact the Home Office or a housing charity.
